In the middle of a move, I wound up with my septum piercing closing some, so a standard 16G septum piercing would no longer fit.
I was surprised just how uncommon 18G and 16G taper sets are online, and I'm HIGHLY impressed with the quality of the steel ones I ordered from Rebel Bod! Shipping took a week longer than I expected, which was the only downside, but otherwise the product itself was well worth the wait and price of ordering individual tapers. Well worth looking into for larger taper sizes for lobes!

This is a high quality taper but it is EXTERNALLY measured. If you want to fit your jewelry into it instead of just using it as a lead make sure you order one size up.
I strongly recommend using it for the first time in the presence of a piercer so he/she can show you the proper insertion technique. This is very handy for switching between different pieces of jewelry as well as for reinserting jewelry that had to be removed for a short period of time (i.e. for an MRI). It’s a good idea to have a taper available, and this is definitely the taper you want to pick.
